Too Much Activity?

How are those NY resolutions? Are you making any progress toward your goals? I came across this verse yesterday in Ecclesiastes 5:3 (New Living Translation) "Too much activity gives you restless dreams; too many words make you a fool." How true! Too much activity leaves us scattered and restless, leaving our dreams to be just that . . . dreams.

I don't know about you, but I want my dreams to become reality, so here's some homework: what activities are you involved in that are non-essential. What is it that your are truly passionate and purposeful about---do those things. Let some things go this year. Simplify. Clarify. Reach your 2009 goals!

Living in the Present

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's officially time to set those NY's resolutions! Our goals are what we want out of our future. They help us to decide where we want to go and what we want to do--this is a good thing, however, I want to make sure this year I don't get so wrapped up in my future that I forget to live in the present. I want to enjoy every living moment with my husband and daughters, family and friends . . . they are so precious. We are making memories NOW, and I choose to enjoy them.

Make it a great year!
